sooo its been a while since i've even been on this site but i'm bored at work and thought it was time for an update. lots has been going on. this month has been full of busy weekends.
jp and i went with my mom to the city to go see hairspray on broadway which was freakin awesome. it was so much different than the movie and i kinda like the movie better but ashley parker angel played link in the play and he is fabulous so that was kinda sweet.
my brother and i saw DAVEEEE at msg on 9/10 for the stand up for a cure concert thingy. he was amazing as always. julia roberts was there and she introduced them. ingrid michaelson opened for them and she was really good and sooo cute. but we had these assholes in front of us who i wanted to push over the railing cause they were so drunk and obnoxious. but other than that it was an awesome show. my brother and i never really get to hang out but when we do its really cool. he's a cool kid.
this weekend promises to be nuts also. gay day at six flags on friday night. saturday is nyc with my slygathor to see equus on broadway with naked daniel radcliffe which is hella exciting. and sunday is some seafood thingy with kristen and jen. so i'm not gonna have time to breathe basically.
soo i have to get back to the grind. didnt even talk a little bit about what i actually wanted to talk about. maybe ill update again later...

so there's a pretty intense storm goin on outside right now. i do not enjoy thunderstorms. they scare me. well, not so much the thunder. the thunder is just startling cause it's loud, but it cant hurt you. lightning is what scares me. because it doesnt have to directly strike you to affect you. it could strike a tree and then you could drive into said tree if it falls in the middle of the road. but ok enough about this horror.
august seems to be passing by quickly already. lots of stuff goin on in the coming couple of months. first is my and jp's canada getaway from the 29th to the 1st. then the dave concert at msg on the 10th with my bro. then the 12th thru the 14th i'll be in florida visiting devin. and then the 20th is equus on broadway with daniel radcliffe!!!! 2nd row!! wooooo!!
so much more i want to say but a.d.d. acting up.

so we just got back from what was supposed to be our rothbury trip. it actually turned out to be a cleveland, rothbury, cleveland again, and amish country trip. i'll get a little more detailed later but for now i need me some good home cooking (aka chinese takeout) and my comfy bed and a few hours of solid sleep.

today i listened to an old playlist and it had all the songs we used to listen to on it. and i was reminded of why it hurts so much sometimes for no reason. i miss her sometimes. not the grief that came along with loving her. just the time we spent laughing and driving aimlessly and watching really bad movies and just...talking. i regret letting things fall apart, unlike all the other friendships i couldn't give a rats ass about. i actually regret this. i regret being an asshole and not being grateful for the all the things we had, as opposed to the one thing we didnt have. if i could do it all over again.....but guess i say that about everything heh i really try to just accept things as they come and not look back or regret or any of that crap. but this is the one thing that constantly sticks out in my mind. and its the one thing that i can't seem to let go of...

13 days until rothbury! it seems like there's still so much to do but really all we have to get is the fan/light thingy for the tent and do some food shopping. it sucks i have to be back to work on monday so we're gonna have to leave sunday morning. hopefully it wont be as crowded as bonnaroo at the campsite and we'll be able to actually get out of the spot without running over anyone else's stuff! we're not gonna be able to see phil on sunday night BUT i got FREE tickets to see him at jones beach exactly one week later so it kind of makes up for it. seeing phil at the beach is better anyway i think. better chance of running into hippies from previous shows, and its SO much closer to home than michigan lol
another good movie jp and saw last night - 5ive Girls. if you're into religious horror flicks about the devil and shit its a pretty good one to see. if anything it was credible just for the token lesbian in the movie lol

so my life is complete. i've now seen dave matthews live and i can die happily. but not before i see him AGAIN in 2 weeks! the show was a bit more mellow than i'd expected but it was great. he played a bunch of awesome songs (i would have subsituted proudest monkey for the last stop and satelite for grace is gone or long black veil) and he played out of my hands which i looove and i hear he doesnt play it live that often. special thanks to the dude sitting next to us who shared his joints with us :-) the only thing that sucked was the walk to and back from the theater and the ride home. the ride there was cool cause we took the car on the ferry and got some snacky smores and chilled out in the sun. thanks for comin with me jip man :-)
ok so movie to add to your "must-see" list - Stardust. thank you devin for recommending it. its a great flick and definitely worth the 2 hours of your time. if you're skeptical just think about this- robert deniro as a gay pirate complete with corsett and feather boas. i'm telling you, see it.
and a movie NOT to see - Knock Knock. probably the worst acting i've ever seen in a movie ever in my life but the story was good. not a movie i'd waste my time on again tho.
